Of course, we all know by now that libraries serving up obscene material to minors is not specifically endemic to Alpena County.\u00a0 Our friends in Dickinson County\u2019s Iron Mountain are fighting their own battles and one book in particular has come to light as particularly egregious and openly available to non-adults. Of course, we will always openly oppose the evil of making obscene materials available to minors.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Since we aren\u2019t being provided a list of books from this library which are available to kids & teens as we were concerning the Alpena Library – we are going to simply highlight this one.\u00a0 We will be covering it in more detail than we did the list of books that our friends found openly available in Alpena\u2019s main library<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The book in question is titled Patience & Esther: An Edwardian Romance <\/strong>authored by SW Searle.\u00a0 This is a graphic novel or a \u201ccomic\u201d and is published by Iron Circus Comics and on their own site<\/a>, it is listed on \u201cAdult Only\u201d (see below).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

How can an admittedly \u201cadult only\u201d book as outlined by the PUBLISHER, be allowed into the hands of innocent children by any entity, let alone a publicly funded entity purportedly supposed to be serving at the behest of the community funding it? It is a rather egregious offense.\u00a0 This library must eschew any guideline in which they believe they are beholden to, as long as that mechanism facilitates the availability of obscene pornography such as this to any minors\u2026<\/p>\n

Yes, this includes the ALA and their \u201cLibrary Bill of Rights<\/a>\u201d which was not ratified by any locally elected representation of \u201cWe the People\u201d, and does not provide adequate protection to ensure that the curious and innocent eyes of minors protected from offense (it does the opposite, in point of fact). \u00a0The adults in this scenario must stand up and set aside this lack of personal responsibility and take action to defend the youth.\u00a0 This isn\u2019t about \u201cfreedom of speech\u201d.\u00a0 This is about doing the right thing.<\/p>\n

What is \u201cThe right thing\u201d?<\/h3>\n

The law is clear: Delivering or the facilitation of delivering \u201cobscene\u201d material to minors under the age of 16 is a federal crime punishable up to 10 years imprisonment.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t believe me? Familiarize yourself with Title 18, Part I, Chapter 71 of US Code<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Whoever, using the mail or any facility<\/u> or means of interstate or foreign commerce, knowingly transfers obscene matter to another individual who has not attained the age of 16 years, knowing that such other individual has not attained the age of 16 years, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both.<\/p>\n

Would it be worth 10 years in prison to keep \u201csoft core\u201d porn on the shelves and within reach of kids? It isn\u2019t as if the law is unprepared to handle this.\u00a0 It really could conceivably go as far as asking whether a judge and\/or jury will agree that this material ascribes to the \u201cMiller Test<\/a>\u201d.\u00a0 How far this goes depends on the community and the library.\u00a0 Either way, the gauge is there and by our own \u201cMiller Test\u201d, we believe that the truth is blatant.<\/p>\n

In this day and age, it comes as no big surprise that the local paper has definitely sided with the \u201cporn for kids\u201d crowd\u2026 even certain library officials seem to buy into the notion that the First Amendment applies to youths the same as it does adults (it does NOT<\/a>)\u2026 and of course we must not forget the outside parties<\/a> who are using these people to cement their agenda in all of Michigan.\u00a0 Including (especially) the most rural and conservative areas.\u00a0 Libraries are undeniably important in all culture.\u00a0 However, libraries should never be used as a mechanism to deliver obscenity and evil to our youth. Under law, anyone who is party to the delivery of obscenity to underage kids can be legally held responsible.<\/p>\n

In both man\u2019s law and God\u2019s Holy Law, it is every adult\u2019s responsibility to protect minors.\u00a0 Not just the parent.\u00a0 As clearly as is written into US law above, Matthew 18:6 is equally succinct:<\/p>\n

\u201cBut whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Libraries should be havens of safe<\/em> knowledge for children\u2026<\/h3>\n

And, each parent should be afforded the opportunity to be able to trust the library without being required to monitor every little move an underaged minor may take at a public library.<\/p>\n

It is not a complicated request.\u00a0 Adult material needs to be available to adults only<\/em>.\u00a0 That which is age appropriate should be available accordingly.\u00a0 This isn\u2019t censorship. This is plain and simple common sense & decency.<\/em>\u00a0 It is also the law.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the scoop on the book they are fighting to keep available to children & teens.<\/h3>\n

So, we did a little poking around the wilds of the internet for opinions on this book. Within the linked documentation below are photographs taken directly from the book.\u00a0 Are you a parent or grandparent?\u00a0 Would you allow your child to flip through the pages of this obviously adult book?\u00a0 If you care to see, and are an adult, you are welcome to look.\u00a0 We hate to propagate our pages with porn; but Truth needs to be seen.\u00a0 And, unlike the legacy media, we provide the proof…<\/p>\n

Since this is clearly<\/em> <\/strong>aimed at adults, as defined by the publisher, the cover of the book, and even the library itself – we can say with certitude that the Dickinson County Library is directly and knowingly malfeasant in their refusal to properly categorize this book within an adult only <\/em>section of the library.\u00a0 Instead, they prefer to gaslight citizens as to the libraries\u2019 lack of \u201cin loco<\/a>\u201d authority to limit exposure when they should clearly be acting decisively to uphold the law<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here is where the book could originally be found.<\/h3>\n

As a placative measure, this book has supposedly been moved to a different section in the Dickinson Library.\u00a0 However, this is not sufficient if it is not an \u201cadult\u201d section and is still available for any age to access:<\/p>\n

What has been done?<\/h3>\n

Instead of pursuing legal measures, concerned citizens in Dickinson County have followed the library\u2019s processes in attempting to at least get this egregious content moved to an adult appropriate section.\u00a0 To contravene their attempts, the library looks to have rallied support from some vocal and avid leftists who decry this attempt at \u201csuppression of LGBTQIA freedom of speech\u201d because girl-on-girl and threesome porn is \u201cinclusive\u201d to kids somehow?<\/p>\n

In reading the letters opposing the proper categorization of this book – from the publicly available correspondence \u2013 it is clear that the propagandists in Dickinson County made the issue about \u201cIdentity Politics\u201d instead of simple truth.\u00a0 Every letter I have read has made the case in support of the \u201cLGBTQIA\u201d agenda, but conveniently made ZERO mention of \u201cporn\u201d, \u201cobscene material\u201d, or what is \u201cAGE appropriate\u201d.<\/p>\n

This is how they operate.\u00a0 They use any available manner of deceit to corrupt good people with blatant misrepresentation of truth in order to demonize opposing voices.<\/p>\n

How can one knowingly defend the indefensible?<\/h3>\n

The staff and advocates fighting to keep this available to all, have clearly never read the book. As it is plainly targeted to adults for purposes of adult entertainment.\u00a0 It is clearly and obviously not educational and it would be unimaginable to think that this material is knowingly made available for the eyes underage children to see.<\/p>\n

How did we get here?<\/h3>\n

My opinion: The whole of society cannot be expected to make intelligent decisions unless they have acquired the simple facts.\u00a0 Since none of the simple facts were mentioned in any correspondence received by this author\u2026\u00a0 I can only surmise that they were fed lies.\u00a0 Garbage in, garbage out.\u00a0 This is why we must learn to look and find information on our own, as our whistleblower did.<\/p>\n

Simply stated: Society needs to learn to seek facts out – on their own – and make truly educated decisions.<\/p>\n

What would you do?<\/h3>\n

Now that you have had opportunity to see the pictures from the offending book.\u00a0 Would you hand that book to your underage minor?\u00a0 Would you leave it in a place where it could randomly be happened upon by someone who hasn\u2019t come of age? Don\u2019t fall for the hyperbolic gaslighting\u2026\u00a0 Not one conservative wants to take away any adult\u2019s freedom of speech.\u00a0 We can all agree that it is their God-given right to look at anything they want to.\u00a0 They are adults.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t even about \u201cLGBTQIA Identity Politics\u201d where adults are concerned.\u00a0 What an adult does within their own discretion, is their own business.<\/p>\n

This is ALL about simply ensuring kids can be kids, free from obscenity (as much as possible).\u00a0 We can all agree that kids don\u2019t need to be seeing porn, right? (Patience and Esther IS porn.)<\/p>\n

Protect the kids. \u00a0That\u2019s all we\u2019re asking for.\u00a0 This isn\u2019t complicated. \u00a0Put this book, and all porn like it, behind the desk & <\/em>for adult eyes only<\/u><\/strong>.\u00a0 It\u2019s a simple solution that does not hurt a single soul.<\/p>\n
